You don’t need to know how to swim. If you are going on the water you will be wearing a Personal Flotation Device (PFD) which will keep you afloat if you fall in. The Boyne is waist-high in most places so you can just stand up when you go in.

  • Do I need to know how to kayak?

Our sit-on-top kayaks are designed for beginners so you don’t need to have kayaked before. We will run through the basics with you before you get on the water.

DAYTRIPS FOR TRAILBLAZERS

JOIN ONE OF OUR RIVER EXPEDITIONS

Days out on the Boyne are a great way to get back to nature. Switch off the phones. Soak up the fresh air, healthy activities and time outside. Explore the Boyne Blueway with an experienced paddler on a Guide Led Trail. Or create your own private adventure, just you and your friends, splashing your way downriver. Our boats are beginner friendly, designed for leisure and easy to manage.

If you would rather not wet, that’s allowed too. Our riverside Covered Coffee area can handle the Irish weather. You can join in with a friendly Archery tournament or check your balance on our new low ropes course. If history is your thing we can take you through miles of medieval monuments and give you a different perspective on our past. Whatever you choose, we aim to give you a great day out.
