Do I need to know how to swim?
Not really. Our rafts are like waterborne tanks so they are nearly impossible to capsize and this tour is sedate and relaxing. You will be wearing a Personal Flotation Device (PFD) which will keep you afloat if you do fall in. The Boyne is waist-high in most places so you can just stand up when you go in.
-
How long does the tour last?
Usually about 2 hours, depending on whether you go to the pub at the end or not.
-
Is there food available?
We have a fully covered outdoor coffee shop with benches at our base. You can buy tea, coffee, ice-cream and snacks after your tour.
-
Is there parking?
We have limited parking but there is a large paid (€3 cash only) car park across the road from us.
-
Will the weather affect the activities?
Lightning is the only weather that stops the tour. This is Ireland so you should always be prepared for rain.
-
Can I bring my phone on the raft?
Not a good idea even if it is waterproof.
