Class days on the Boyne

Kayaking, Team-Building & Archery for each student.

School Trips on the Boyne are a great way to introduce young people to a range of outdoor activities. Let them out of the classrooms. Take them out into the fresh air to explore the Boyne Blueway with an experienced paddler. Our boats are youth friendly, designed for beginners and easy to steer. They are also great fun.

If you don’t want to get wet, that’s ok too. Our riverside Covered Coffee area is designed to handle Irish rain and teachers who need a break. We get your group to work together over the course of the day on our riverside team building challenges and archery tournaments. All you have to do is sit back and let us take over for a while. Whatever you choose, your class will have a great day out.

Do I need to know how to swim?

It is better if students are happy getting wet. Everyone has to wear a Personal Flotation Device (PFD) which will keep students afloat if they fall in. The Boyne is waist-high in most places so you can just stand up when you go in.

Our sit-on-top kayaks are designed for beginners so students don’t need to have kayaked before. We will run through the basics with them before we bring them on the water.
